One Last Griffon Guide

In this topic ,Gamesavor would like to introduce a build I use for farming the griffons, as well as rockshots in The Scar. This is a very easy to use and quick guide.

Any armor will work for this and you don’t even need runes if you don’t want them but we only use minor tactics and minor swordsmanship/axe mastery. As for weapons I use either Sskai’s Sword or Victo’s Axe along with Grognar’s Defender for the health bonus while in a stance but any max weapon and shield will work.

Attributes with full 200 points:
Tactics: 13 (12+1)
Swordsmanship: 13 (12+1)

Attributes without bonus 30:
Tactics: 13 (12+1)
Swordsmanship: 11 (10+1)
(Any left over points can be placed in strength but not required)

If you are an axe user just switch the swordsmanship with axe mastery.

Skills:
Gladiators Defense (Elite)-This is a great skill to have especially against the sandworm which occasionally appears in the scar.
Shield Stance-Used to evade the bulk of attacks this skill will definitely come in handy.
Defensive Stance-While this skill ends if you use another skill I use it to keep avoiding damage.
Healing Signet-With 13 tactics this skill heals for 137 points and works as a great way to end defensive stance.
Sever artery-A simple and inexpensive way to remove the sandworm’s health regeneration.
Gash-An easy way to greatly reduce an opponent’s health so you can kill your target fast.
Standing Slash-This skill is a good way to deal your enemy some damage while waiting for galrath slash or final thrust to charge.
Galrath Slash/Final Thrust-Either of these skill will work. I prefer galrath slash myself because it doesn’t remove adrenaline.

If you want to use an axe swap sever artery, gash, standing slash and galrath slash with cyclone axe, dismember, axe twist, and executioner’s strike.

How to Use: Alright let’s start with the griffons you will encounter. Simply get their agro and use gladiator’s defense. When gladiator’s defense is about to end, use shield stance. Just in case you got very unlucky use healing signet before you activate defensive stance. As defensive stance is about to end I suggest using healing signet. By the time defensive stance ends you gladiators defense should have recharged. By cycling through these 3 stances you will constantly be in a stance. If you are using a grognar’s defender or the crimson carapace shield from one of the collector’s in the desert you will have an extra 45 health. With 4 attack skills to use along with gladiator’s defense you should find that only the sandworm will be hard to kill.
Next we have the rockshot devourers. When they first appear they will most likely start laying traps down. If you can’t get to them in time begin to run away. They will move away from their traps so you can attack them without any trouble. Don’t forget to keep using you stances and these annoying creatures won’t a problem for long.
Finally there is that sandworm which will occasionally appear in The Scar. Using your stances and by applying conditions (Deep wound and weakness if your using an axe or bleeding and deep wound for sword users.) the sandworm will be much like the other creatures out in The Scar but will take a fair bit longer.
Sadly this build does not work against the giants because their attacks aren’t hindered by your stances.

This build is not for gold items. To obtain gold from this you must sell the items and collector’s items that are dropped.
